WHY THAILAND?

Everywhere in Thailand, including urban areas, you see that wherever there is room, people set up small gardens, put up some trees or at least keep a few pots of plants or orchids. Thais love greenery. Of course, Thailand has lush rainforests and forested mountains, but even outside those areas you will find many different kinds of plants. And we like that; after all, we are always on the lookout for new green surprises.

Climate also plays a role. In Thailand, the weather is perfect for growing plants. It is always warm, there is plenty of precipitation and and there are few storms. To take full advantage of the climatic conditions, we not only have a plant farm in central Thailand, but also near the islands in the south and near the mountains in the north. This allows us to make maximum use of temperature differences and the variation in soil types.

'Living together with nature' is our motto. That may not be so surprising for people who spend all day outdoors dealing with plants, the temperature, the soil and what the weather will be like. But we really love nature and are inexhaustibly challenged by it. What we do, we do together with nature, not at its expense.

Not only can we be grateful for what nature brings, the people who work for us also deserve that appreciation. Almost all of them come from the countryside, to which they are closely connected, just like us. This is why we support local social projects, schools and temples. Social responsibility and respect for nature, we therefore sum up as 'living together with nature'.
